THE STORY: Already running several high luxury establishments, both mountain and seaside, the Sibuet familial hotel chain took over the Hôtel des Dromonts in Avoriaz in December 2014. Inaugurated in 1966, the symbol of this ski station has retained its pinecone shape, but has been redone with colorful ‘60s interior design. Besides the 35 very cozy bedrooms, designed for skiers and inspired by the studies of Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand, the hotel also boasts a Pure Altitude spa with an outdoor sauna and jacuzzi. From €230 (classic rooms) to €840 (suites) per night for two.
