For all those patiently waiting for a table at the always-booked Mosuke: Mory Sacko, the darling chef of the food world (who recently graced the cover of Time Magazine), opened Mosugo just a few meters away. An all-white eatery serving just one thing, where the star of the show, fried chicken, gets prepared under the influence of cultures near and far. The result? An incredible burger filled with extremely crispy chicken, emmental cheese and pickled cucumber, all draped in miso mayonnaise and stuffed into a soft pretzel bun; or its vegetarian alternative, where the chicken is replaced by a thick slice of fried zucchini… Pair it all with sweet potato fries served with Cajun-spiced mayo, roasted cauliflower with herbed yogurt and toasted sesame seeds, or lemony Greek yogurt with kiwi and meringue, pavlova style. // Marcelle Claudepierre
FEELING THIRSTY? : Extremely fresh and perfectly balanced ginger juice, unless you’d rather opt for the bissap, which is homemade as well (€5.50 each), or a can of Canetta natural wine (€8 for 187 ml).
PRICE: : Burgers €13.50, fried chicken or alocco fried plantain €10.50, set menus €21.50 (burger + side + drink) and €31.50 (burger + fried chicken + side + drink), sides €4.50 to €5, desserts €4.50.
