A stone’s throw away from her former restaurant Tempero, the French-Brazilian chef Alessandra Montagne-Gomes now reigns supreme at Nosso (which means “ours” in Portuguese) and brings a little sunshine to this dull, white-collar neighborhood! The day we went for lunch at this rather fussy bistro (dining rooms separated by a narrow hallway, lots of cookbooks, a windowed wine cellar), we savored a menu where the chef’s zero-waste philosophy shone through: delicate marinated salmon sashimi placed atop a silky smooth beetroot / black olive purée; a perfectly prepared sea bream fillet with green lentils, roasted carrots and a sweet potato purée (+€4 if you order the prix-fixe menu); before a tasty crème caramel for dessert. Since saudade is never in short supply, this is a place we’ll be coming back to for sure! // Antoine Antoine
