Northern Paris, rejoice – your new local is two doors down from home! Etienne Ryckeboer (founder and former owner of restaurant Papi) and Jenny Martin (formerly a chef with the Bonbonnière group) have transformed an old paint warehouse into a coffee shop with anglophile vibes: red brick columns, white tiled walls, an industrial concrete ceiling, tables upcycled from CFP-labeled red crates and – the star of the show – a large wooden communal table where locals and passers-by mingle, chat, knit or simply linger over a cup. Fueling the Marzocco: top-quality beans from Mabo (Romania) or Cimer (Nantes), with guest rosters rotating monthly. Other sips include matcha, chai, hibiscus infusion, hot chocolate, iced tea, ginger beer, lemonade… or even CBD soda. Got a sweet itch that needs scratching? Miso and white chocolate cookies, cinnamon rolls, matcha-vanilla sponge cake and carrot cake should do the trick. Hungrier still? Go for a veggie bun loaded with omelet, mozzarella, baby spinach and sundried tomatoes; or a coppa and mozzarella quesadilla with tomato paste, paired with the soup of the day for a thoroughly satisfying lunch. · Anna Elisabeth
