THE STORY: And that makes seven! Seemingly nothing can stand in the way of Adrien Gloaguen’s Touriste group (Hôtel de la Boétie, Beauregard, Les Deux Gares, Bienvenue…) as he conquers the capital! Hôtel Château d’Eau, the latest addition to date, which naturally is located in the neighborhood of the same name, proudly embraces its retro style with loads of cheetah print and floor-to-ceiling mirrors, all dreamt up by the duo behind Necchi Architecture, Charlotte Albert and Alexis Lamesta. Nice, but what about the bedrooms? They feel very 70s-inspired (lacquered walls, checkerboard tile bathrooms, lots of carpeting) and they’ll have you wanting to slip under the covers, a coffee in one hand, a book in the other… and never leave, or perhaps just to visit the dimly-lit lounge on the ground floor, where you can cozy up at one of the velvet benches in the bar… The weekend can’t come soon enough. Double rooms starting at €132 a night.

TOILETRIES: Diptyque soap, body wash and shampoo.
BREAKFAST: The €16 option gets things done, which includes hot drinks, bread, viennoiseries, jams, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, cheese, charcuterie… with gluten-free and plant-based milk options!
LITTLE LUXURY: The actual reason to leave you room – the number of outstanding Fooding-recommended restaurants (Dumbo Petites-Écuries, Marrow, Vivant 2, Tanguy…) within a 500-meter radius from the hotel.
