Colorful tiling, a long stainless steel bar, big wooden tables… Urfa Dürüm has done it againwith a second location on Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis! After opening their first spot in 1987 at n°58 of the same street, the Kurdish eatery has now opened a new fast food joint. You’ll still find the same delicious durum on the menu: sandwiches prepared on homemade Turkish flatbread, stuffed with meat (lamb, chicken, beef) and grilled over a wood fire, plus tomatoes, red onions and a healthy dose of mixed herbs. Not to mention the famous lahmacun, a sort of pizza topped with ground meat, tomatoes and onions. And that’s not all! Sandwich skeptics can get their fill of grilled meat plates (lamb chops, free-range chicken) with raw veggies. // A.Sa.
FEELING THIRSTY? There’s authentic homemade ayran (a savory fermented yogurt drink, €2.50) and classic sodas (€2).
PRICE: Flatbreads €3-11, plates €12-18.
